Yield.xyz AgentKit: The First Yield-Native MCP Is Here

AI agents are getting better at reasoning. The missing piece has been execution โ€” the ability to move from insight to action without breaking out of the conversation, opening separate frontends, or manually moving assets across strategies.

The AgentKit MCP closes that gap.

What Is an MCP?

MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, an open standard introduced by Anthropic in 2024 that gives AI agents a standardized way to connect to external tools and data sources. Before MCP, every tool an AI agent needed required its own custom integration. MCP replaces that fragmentation with a single protocol that any compatible agent can plug into.

Think of it as a universal adapter: one integration, access to everything the server exposes.

The AgentKit MCP is the first yield-native implementation of this standard, meaning AI agents now have a direct, structured interface to onchain yield infrastructure at scale.

What AgentKit Does

AgentKit is Yield.xyz's AI-powered yield intelligence product. It gives agents and users a unified interface for discovering, analyzing, and managing onchain yield positions across thousands of opportunities and multiple networks โ€” covering staking, liquid staking, lending, vaults, liquidity provision, and beyond.

The MCP upgrade exposes seven structured tools that agents can call directly:

Together, these tools give agents a complete capability arc: find an opportunity, evaluate it, check existing positions, and generate the transactions needed to act.

What This Unlocks in Practice

For DeFi users, the experience shifts from manually navigating dapps to describing what you want in plain language. Ask an agent to optimize your stablecoin yield and it will scan thousands of strategies, evaluate TVL and risk, surface qualified options across chains, and build signable transactions. Instead of closing positions, bridging assets, and redepositing on another protocol across frontends, the agent handles the research and transaction construction, and you sign.

For DAOs and institutional treasuries, the MCP addresses a persistent operational problem: idle assets. A treasury holding uninvested stablecoins can direct an agent to match available capital to treasury policy, evaluate yield options that meet risk criteria, build unsigned transactions. The agent does the analytical and transactional work; governance retains control of execution.

Non-Custodial by Design

AgentKit generates transactions, and you sign them. Your keys never leave your device, and every transaction is visible before it's broadcast.

AgentKit is built on SOC 2 certified infrastructure, the same foundation powering yield integrations for Ledger, Deblock, Anchorage Digital, Turnkey, Utila, Crossmint, and Portal.

Getting Started

Add the MCP endpoint directly in Claude Desktop (UI or config) and Claude Code using a hosted MCP URL: no API key required to get started and you're live in under a minute.
